Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the StatusBuddy website (StatusBuddy.in) and subscribing to any of our services, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StatusBuddy Technologies ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Service

StatusBuddy Technologies provides a monthly digital content subscription service consisting of curated WhatsApp and Instagram status packs, including but not limited to: trending status videos, motivational and lifestyle quote cards, and festival / occasion templates. Content is delivered digitally to subscribers via their registered email or delivery channel.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and reside in India to subscribe. By subscribing, you represent and warrant that all information provided is accurate and that you have the authority to enter into this agreement and authorize the recurring payment mandate.

4. Subscription and Billing

Our subscription service operates as follows:

• Mandate Setup Fee: A one-time, non-refundable fee of ₹3 is charged at the time of subscription to register your recurring payment (e-mandate) with Razorpay.
• Monthly Subscription: A recurring fee of ₹250 per month is charged automatically via Razorpay autopay on your billing date each month.
• Billing Cycle: Your subscription renews on the same date each calendar month. If that date does not exist in a given month (e.g., the 31st), billing occurs on the last day of that month.
• Payment Processing: All payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorise Razorpay to debit the applicable amounts from your registered payment method as per the e-mandate.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation instructions are detailed in our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to the service until the end of your current paid billing period, after which no further charges will be made.

6. Refund Policy

Please refer to our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed information on refunds. In general, the ₹3 mandate setup fee is non-refundable. Monthly subscription fees of ₹250 are non-refundable once the content for that month has been delivered, except where delivery failure is due to our error.

7. Intellectual Property

All content provided through StatusBuddy, including but not limited to videos, images, graphics, and text ("Content"), is the intellectual property of StatusBuddy Technologies or its licensors. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence to use the Content for personal, non-commercial purposes on WhatsApp and Instagram only.

You may not: reproduce, redistribute, sell, sub-license, or use the Content for commercial purposes without our written consent. You may not claim original authorship of any Content provided by StatusBuddy.

8. User Obligations

You agree to:

• Provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• Use the Content only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Not use the service to distribute illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Comply with WhatsApp's and Instagram's respective Terms of Service when using our Content.
• Not attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of our platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StatusBuddy Technologies and its officers, employees, partners, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount paid by you to StatusBuddy Technologies in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thane, Maharashtra, India.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by notifying you via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
